Naqvi Lab Quantitative principles of gene regulation in development and disease

Leilani is a computational research assistant in the Naqvi Lab. A recent graduate of Boston University with a major in Biology and a minor in Data Science, she is excited about the future of research in the age of artificial intelligence. Leilani spent two summers with UCL Genomics building generative models for rare disease and bioengineered organoids, and completed her senior research project in the Siggers Lab at BU where she used DNA sequence patterns to predict TF recruitment at histone-marked regulatory regions. Outside of the lab, she enjoys running on the Esplanade, listening to NPR, and spending time with friends and family.
